Pontiac / Toyota Relationship

Does anyone know which brand, Pontiac or Toyota's parts departments are generally cheaper? My Corolla XRS has a different suspension than the Matrix, but my engine is identical to the Vibe GT and Matrix XRS. Later on in my car's life i'm just wondering where I should go if i need a special Toyota part that Autozone and the like don't stock. My greenness to manual driving makes clutches come to mind as something i'll need.

the answer is NO....just no....just because they use the same motor doesnt mean that anythign else is the same....the vehicles are so different in the details that they arnt even remotely close to the same thing. Our parts are still 100x better than pos gm parts.

Ok, with that kind of emotion I will carry over my hatred for GM vehicles to their dealerships as a whole. At least ES300 owners can go to a Toyota dealership to get deals on parts when they say they have a camry. But i'll never lower myself to going to a Pontiac dealer.

The parts at the Pontiac dealer will be more espensive, for the same exact part.
I used to drive a Geo Prism, mechnically the same as a Toyota Corolla.
My seat belt kept breaking, won't come out anymore.
Chevy/GM charged $130.
Toyota charged $110.

The seat belt I got from GM had Toyota written on it.

What the GM dealers do is order the part from Toyota and charge mark up.
