as of yet, there is not a turbo kit out for the 04 XRS, if you check out www.matrixowners.com, most if not all of your questions could be answered there. for the time being, just get the Injen cold air and Maganflow cat back and that should satisfy you for now.

yeah u can supercharge the base and XR but not the XRS. They say the compression ratio is too high. I'm not sure what the HP at the wheels is for the XRS but using intakes and exhaust setup, headers and engine performance parts will do greatly.

if you wanna see this turbo XRS in person, he will be down in SoCal Dec. 30th to Jan 3rd. We will be holding a meet in his honor on the 1st somewhere between LA and SD.

Actually they do make a turbo for a matrix... sort of. they have a turbo by 'XS' that is made for the celica and since we have the same motor as the celica it will work but you would have to make some minor adjustments to make it fit properly.

Intercooler piping and engine management would be all you need.

It will take a little more than fuel management and small adjustments....Did you read the article on the XS turbo for the matrix?!?!? It blew up on them somewhere in Florida. I don't think we are going to reliably turbocharge the XRS. Stop looking. Stop trying. Unless you are a rocket scientist, we are stuck with natural asperated

I just looked at the link you posted matrixmanvvti_l. I am not saying it can't be done. I am just saying what those posts said. 5000.00+ dollars later he got 20 HP? 7 PSI on the boost? why have it if you are going to run 7 PSI? My old 82 volvo ran 8 and that was from the factory. I really hope that guy didn't pay that much for that kit. YOU NEED TO READ THE ARTICLE ON THE XS KIT. PARTS ONE AND TWO. Part one everything was fine...part two, BANG!
