why would it be? the only reason it could POSSIBLY be bad is if there was no air filter on the end OR you stuck it in water.

Is there really a HP diff. when it comes to the Short Ram, Cold Air or a Front Mount intake? I was thinking of doing a front mount intake for my XRS because of more air exposure. I just got to get ahold of some mandrel piping and maybe i can just add it on to my short ram that i already have and extend it to the front.

just get one from jcwhittney areospeed is the one who makes it for civics can't be to hard to modify from that.

i've never heard any real complaints about cold air or short ram intakes. most like them because increase in some power and torque. you can also get better fuel economy from them too.
