Hi

Can anybody suggest a good tire (all season/good snow/low noise) for a 2003 Matrix XR
. I have OEM FireHawks 215/50-ZR17 on them now...

BTW, how does PEPBOYS Futura 2000 rate on MATRIX?

Can't Detroit winters get vicious? You'd be better off w/ snow tires on steelies and keep summer tires on the 17's. You'll get the best of both worlds in both extreme seasons.

Checkout Hankook Icebear W604 The only down side, is that they are a 45 profile instead of a 50. They work great otherwise, comparable to Blizzacks (only significantly cheaper). For a spec sheet, click here. Scroll all the way down, the 17" size is the last two rows on the list.
