Rim Question

Does anyone know if 19x8 in rims would fit on my 2004 XRS without rubbing, the car is lowered 1.25 inches? I have seen people with 19's on their matrix but i dont know if it was lowered. Thanks

I know this is probably too late, but I have my 04 Matrix lowered 1.5" and I have 18x8 and there is plenty of room. I called VictoriaTires and Rims http://www.victoriatire.com/ and they were very helpful. I do advise that you get wheels that are an inch bigger in the rear. With the way the Matrix backend is bulkier then the front, you need a bigger rim to fill the rear fender. I have 18s and I know its an illusion, but the front rim sometime looks bigger then the rear. I would go with 18x8s in the front and 19x8.5s in the back. Hope that helps!!!

I noticed that w/ my BSA's. I still kept the 17" size goin but the offset is 40 compared to 45 and i can tell the diff. w/ that. Either lower offset of wider tire but not both 'cause it'll probably rub.

So, you are saying that you can feel the difference between the offset of the factory rim and the aftermarket one? 40mm is only a half a centimeter or so further out from factory. I hardly doubt there would be a REAL noticable difference. I cut stainless steel sheets that require 5mm or less tolerance out of square and it is next to nothing. Maybe I should go out and get those 1/4 inch spacers at the shop. I didn't think it would do anything.
