Has anyone experienced the throttle sticking? I took my foot off of the gas to brake and the car surged forward, causing an huge accident. I have a 2005 Matriz XR and this has never happened before. It's currently at Toyota dealership for diagnostics and repair.

Damn that sucks, hope everything is ok though. I haven't had that happen, i have a manual '03 XRS model.

I have an 03 Corrola which is a manual tranny. When I take the car out of gear on the highway doing 60+ I notice the RPM stays high about 3000 as if the throttle is sticking. I've never noticed it otherwise but will be warned. Sorry to hear of your problems. -Ken
