I just got mine from ebay but for good stability get the upper strut tower bar and an aftermarket rear sway bar. I'm getting mine from Matrixowners.com froma groupbuy for 100 bucks shipped. Check it out and look under group buys but i think it's done already. There's plenty other groupbuys for stuff like that just check back regularly. By the way that's the cheapest you'll get the rear sway bar for anyway and for the strut tower bar too.
I have the TRD strut bar. When I had mine installed, I had my Hotchkis springs done all at the same time so I couldn't say if the strut bar alone made a noticeable difference. On the other hand, the strut bar + springs made a WORLD of a diff. over stock suspension. About a year later, I added the Progress rear sway bar and that addition was noticeable as well.
If you're not into lowering springs, couple it w/ Progress' rear sway bar and you should be able to feel an improvement in handling even at stock height.
With the TRD bar, there are no issues whatsoever. Just plug and play.
Yeah, I love the lowered look, but that would take the last bit of versatility out of the poor car. I already have to crawl getting in to some people's drivways, and into my rural property in upstate NY (with just the body kit).
go to ptuning.com they have a worth while trd alternative.........cheaper than trd more expensive than those ebay "specials" but actually works too......im ordering 1......
i do LOTS of highway driving in my trix
at least 350 miles every friday night.
when i got the TRD STB going around
those onramps and offramps was killer..
it hugged more, and felt much more stable.
so now, i'm going to get the TRD springs,
and the rear Progress sway bar.
