Matrix outside temperature sensor

Anyone know specifically where the Matrix outside temperature sensor is located under the hood? And aside from a dealer price of $240 for the outside temp. sensor is there somewhere I can purchase one cheaper?

I bought a used 2003 Matrix. Outstanding condition. A deer hit the hood and windshield, which were replaced by the first owner. The temperature sensor is missing. The dealer will not cover the replacement, which is understandable. I was hoping to get a sensor and replace it myself.

I knew the first owner and nothing bad happened to the deer. The Matrix was stopped. A deer bolted from the side of the road jumping onto the cars hood and windshield. The windshield cracked and the hood was badly dented. The deer did not hit the fenders or any other part of the car. The deer ran safely to the other side of the road. I don't know why the repair shop cut and removed the outside temp. sensor, when replacing the windshield and hood, but it is missing.

It's right smack in front of the radiator mounted on a vertical support post.

Yeah. That's right. It's near the horn.
