GOO GONE - Nice Cleaning Product
"GOO GONE" is sold in many department stores such as Target, Kmart, Walmart, and so on. Comes in squeeze bottle or spray. Orange citrus color and smell. $2.00 - $3.00 bottle. Works great on labels and removing petroleum based splatters.
I used it to remove the advertising label the dealer put on the back of my Matrix. It turns the label's sticky backing to a soft paste which can be wiped off after the label is loosened and removed. Used it to disolve and loosen undercoating splatters on the inside of my 17" stock rims. I've even used it to remove black magic marker off the plastic coated cover of a book (of course don't use it on plain paper).
Tip: If you are removing, for example, a dealer sticker from the back of the car and you have an accessory rubber bumper guard in place I'd suggest placing a rag above the bumper to absord any drippings. I am not sure if its strong enough to remove the adhesive used under the rubber bumper guard, but why take the chance. To be on the safe side I rinced the area with water to remove any drippings my rag may have missed.
