Cool Why a Matrix?

I'm new here, having just bought an '05 Matrix XR about a month ago. Anyway, I was curious to see what reasons people here have for buying their Matrixes (or is it Matrices?). Just vote in the poll so I can get an idea.

I picked "Value for Money," "Features," "Gas mileage," "Wanted a smaller car," and "Liked the look of it."

I got tired of being intimidated by snow storms but didn't want too big a fuel economy reduction. My knees aren't what they used to be so I wanted my first automatic transmission. I wanted more cargo room. The 4WD Matrix was the best fit to replace my Paseo..

I used to have a '98 Hyundai Accent, yeah i know but it was the only thing i can afford at the time, oh yeah it had power-nothing. Then was looking at the Hyundai Tiburon but found out i was having a baby so plans changed. I stayed w/ the hatch type cars because of the access to the rear but when i saw the matrix i was like i found it. I did all the research before i actually test drove it. Seeing it in person was far more better then on the computer. I love the leg room and head space all through out the car and being able to get stuff from the back w/ out stopping, getting out and opening the trunk . Plus its gots some kick to it w/ the right mods it's a great machine. Even the stock kit is damn cool, even though i sold mine but am looking at getting the stock XRS bumper cover back on. It's my "Dad Wagon" that goes vrooooooom.

I also got it because I was looking forward to family type needs ;-) Moved from the 2000 corolla to the 2005 matrix. MUCH roomier but didn't have to compromise on gas mileage. And of course, the amazing amount of space for hauling stuff (coming from a corolla driver's POV, remember ;-) ) A minivan or true wagon just weren't my thing. This gave me corolla dependability but wagon versatility. ;-)
