My car is Indigo Ink Pearl, with grey interior. It has a sunroof. First time I ever had a sunroof in a car. I like it.

Yeah, it's too bad they never offered the moonroofs for the 03's. Otherwise, I'd have one.

That's funny. My last two cars came with moonroofs I wasn't looking for and never use.

Its funny, some people call it a moonroof and some call it a sunroof. I like to call it a sunroof. Out in California its great to have a sunroof. Driving down the coast to Monterey its great to let the wind blow in your hair. I always drive with it all the way open. Im glad I got it!!!

My understanding is that a sunroof slides back, like you can stick your hole body out of it. Moonroofs just tilt up, the glass doesn't actually slide out of the way. I think that's right...

I quess mine qualifies for both. It tilts, and slides out of the way.

Yup, that's how it works on the 05 XR. We have ourselves a kickass car, eh?

You can say that again. Im glad I waited untill 05 to get it. I was looking at the car back in 03 and I almost bought it then. I wasn't sold on it back in 03, but when I went back to the car in 05 I liked it even more. It is an awesome car.

Kickass? Indeed. I just ordered mine today! I can't wait to get my XR, and neither can the wife.

<Insert tingly sensation here>

I have to say that these forums have been a great help in making a decision to go with the Matrix.

Thanks everybody, I look forward to trading experiences!

We would like details. What color? What extras? Did you get a sunroof or a moonroof? How long do you have to wait for your Matrix. It was nice I just walked into the dealer and drove home the same day. It took under 4 hours. You will enjoy you car. I have! You will get a lot of looks from other drivers.

Lessee...

We wanted a 2005 XR FWD, B pack, in Meterorite Metallic. So, we went to the dealership on Monday and filled out the paperwork and paid our deposit, two hours later we left.

They tried locating us a car of our desired specs in Canada, but as of Tuesday morning, all they found was one in Alpine White (Cheerleadermobile) and two in Black Sand Pearl (ugh).

<noflames>
A side note: these are our colour preferences, not a comment on any other's choices in colour.
</noflames>

So, we decided to pay the extra $18/mo. for a 2006 model of the same spec. It will arrive at the dealer on 01/09/2005 we should have it by 02/09/2005. As previously stated: we're all a-tingle.

Now, back to my "first new car mix CD" creation!

I think you wanted to write 2006. That is a long time to wait for a car. 6months. There must be a long waiting list for the 2006 matrix. Its kind of early to get all a-tingle about a car not coming for 6 months.
