Will 03 04 05 parts work on 06?

Anyways will parts for the 03 04 05 work on the 06? Im deciding if I can get parts from prior years to fit on my 06? is there any diffrence between the XR XRS parts? Latly Ive only been getting XRS parts. Im think about Intake or just a K&n drop in, headers and catback exhaust system. LMK I am really lost.

I think the 06 has the same parts as years before.

The XR and XRS models have different engines, so some of the parts are not the same. For example, I believe the XRS has a larger intake.

2005 was the year some stuff changed. From the beginning of the 2005 model year, the radio was different and the front bumper/foglight setup also changed. The tail lights went from a red cover to an altezza style with a clear cover. Not only do the XR and XRS have different intakes but the accelerator actuation of the throttle body at the intake was changed in most cars to an electrical system, fly by wire in aircraft terminology, rather than a mechanical cable system. 2003-2004 short ram or cold air intake designs are for mechanical cable actuated throttles only.

Some parts are inter-changeable. Some are not. You have to be specific w/ what you're looking for.

As for the heads, no can do. It's like trying to put a square to match up on circle.

well who makes heads for the Xr? Ive only heard good things come from the 2zz heads, but if I cant use em then its pointless to me. What would you recomened in I/H/E? What I was looking at was a borla catback system, with just a k&n drop in filter.....

I am trying to get trd front and rear sway bars and front strut bar, just because I know I want to work on handling more then power. Tein Springs and coilovers with Tokico gas shocks. maybe do a all disk brake conversion. Not very sure where I will be taking this but I can fant-a-size right?

thats about all you're gonna be doing. there is no direct relpacement heads for the base, xr, or the xrs. i think the borla for the matrix is only a axle back, magnaflow is the only true cat back out there. there isn't a direct intake for the 06, cuz in 05 the throttle body changed only on the base and xr, so for now, go custom, or get stuck with a k&n drop in filter.
