I too am amazed at the toyota resale value. My 200 tundra 4x4 with 218k is still booking at Edmunds at $8,500 while my 2001 surburan is tanking with each day. Fords (which I like) are no different. I have not bought a brand new truck since 1996 and never thought I would consider it until recently-because of depreciation.
I priced a 07 double cab 4x4 TRD with 4.7 liter from Rice Toyota (see ebay, they are cheap) for $28,213 and that was before the incentives were raised to $3,500 in some areas plus their discount. I could sell my truct and be out only $20k.
