hey, i think i have the same problem. Id hate to add onto your thread, but im also a first time poster.
Me: Bruce
Mine Also have a 90 celica Gt 5 speed
Mods: Exhaust right now, intake is on the way. Rims, low pro Kumhos, lowering springs, and new struts over the winter, as well as paint job.

OK, so anyway, i beleive im having the same problem. the is a clicking sound coming from the passenger side, front tire. It mostly happens in 3rd, around 30-35 mph, in a slow acceleration. Pushing in the clutch stops the noise from happening. I took it in t a cv shop, thinkin my cv was shot and needed work. They told me that the cv was fine and that my brake pad was loose and rubbin funny, and was causing a clicking/clunking (hard to describe in words, (sorry)) sound. Only, i took apart my brakes, and everything looks like it should, so im beggining to think its not the brakes, and it wither the drive-train or transmission.
Im lookin for ideas, and seeing as someone else has a similar problem on the same year car, is this comon??? id love to hear ideas or feedback. Paintballa082@hotmail.com

PS..Hey man, sorry for posting here, but there was no other place to put it, and if you get ideas, it would help me out. Oh, and im takin it in again tommorow, so if i find somethin, ill email you. Thanks
