Low Rolling Resistance Tires

Anyone have any experience in Low Rolling Resistance (LLR) tires? According to Consumer Reports a 5% increase in mileage is possible with a good LLR tire like the Michelin Energy. I am trying to get tires for my Sienna, but the Energy does not come in the correct size.

Here are some of the links I have looked at. If anyone has any advice, I will be glad to hear it.

I have a friend who owns a tire and brake store and one of the many things he's told me is that the Sienna eats through tires unlike many other vehicles. That's because in order to improve vehicle stability the rear wheels are cambered outward, which reduces the life of your tires. I don't know how many miles you got out of your most recent set of tires, but it seems like concern over roll resistance is a moot point given the frequency of tire purchases for Sienna owners. Just an observation.

Many OEMs use LRR tires to bump up their EPA ratings. I use General Exclaim UHPs (rated LRR by consumer reports) on my Matrix and love them. Did you have any specific concerns?

I got jusy about 90,000Km out of a set of Toyo Proxes on our Sienna. I'm curious to see how the LRR Kumho tires will stack up in comparison.
