I googled and couldn't find an answer there either. Basically my MPG seems to suck big time and I heard from multiple people that it might be due to using gas with ethanol? E10 (10% ethanol, 90% gas).
So the other day I got my quarter of a tank at Conoco and on the pump it specifically said "100% ethanol free gas" and it immediately felt that my car was faster and had better acceleration.
Where do you guys fill up? Do you feel difference between ethanol gas and non-ethanol?
The reason I always fill up at kroger and not Conoco and others is because Kroger has cheapest price in town.

That's pretty much what I've been experiencing as well.
Ethanol contains less energy than pure gas so you will get slightly worse mileage. If I had the choice of filling on pure 100% gasoline then I would, but unfortunately, it's pretty much impossible now other than Shell V-Power and my car doesn't call for premium.
I'm forced to go fill up at Petro Canada. Using 87 regular and getting crappy mileage.

There used to be a gas station in East Texas that had Ethanol-free gasoline. Unfortunately, their supplier no longer offers it, so they were forced to switch. That was my last oasis. I miss good old ethanol-free gasoline.

You live in Houston and drove to East Texas for fill ups?
EPA approved the move up to E15 from E10 that many are stuck with now.
Besides the EPA, states, cities, counties.... can almost legislate the type of fuel available. And, suppliers don't have to provide both so you end up with E10.... whether you want it or not.
I find that 100% gasoline is slowly disappearing. So sad and we're paying too much for it, subsidizing it....

yes, gas prices have gone up again here in NJ, OPEC is a price setting cartel that would be illegal in the USA, but our military protects the Saudi Taliban King.

Ethanol contains less energy but boosts the octane rating. I haven't noticed a great deal of difference in performance and mileage but I do dread 15% Ethanol. I think corn sourced ethanol is a scam.
