Best Fuel System Treatments

I'm looking for a fuel system cleaner/s brand that you can pour to the gas tank which can also clean the fuel injection and throttle body dirt.

Additives

My first thought is that these treatments aren't worth much. Gasoline today is refined pretty well, and if you in fact do get bad gas, treatments won't help anyway. My dealer stated much the same thing -- but we may be wrong. Curious how others may respond.

Gumout regane, redline sl-1 or Techron are considered pretty good, although you will have to manually clean the TB.

I have had good success with Techron in the past. In 146,000 miles on my previous car, no clogged injectors or problems at all. That may also be said for likely many others with that mileage who never used anything at all!
The quality of gas varies quite a bit. If you use the generic brands without a good additive package that has good detergents in it, then you may need some injector cleaner from time to time. I usually add a bottle of Techron at 3-5000 mile intervals on my cars and while I can't prove it does anything miraculous, I have yet to experience a single problem with any car I have used it on.

Dealers love to sell you fuel injector cleaning services. These cost quite a bit for running detergents through your injectors and engine. I will just add a bottle of Techron periodically and skip their sales pitch on the high dollar cleaning systems they are promoting. My dealer pushes this at about 15,000 miles. He will be disappointed when I don't want to play that game.
