I doubt that you need the toyota amp in order to run the stereo. I believe the stock amp is 200 watt, so if you get something equivelent to that, it should be all good.

I have a Kenwood amp, 200 W, with one set of preouts, a ground and a power wire(both wires were cut from a previous car). I bought it a long time ago with the intention of installing it in my first car, but never got around to getting speakers. My 92 came with a factory amp, so i've never needed it. If your interested in buying it, lemme know, and we can work on a price.
