Gen6

I broke mine as well within the first week of ownership. I was putting in my sub as well and it snapped. It is so cheap. I went to the dealer and asked them if it was ok to put a bag of softner salt in the trunk from the grocery store. He said yes... then I replied good because this thing broke.(I didn't want to say I was doing any stereo work). The part is not cheap by any means. So when I got the new one (under warranty) I just guled it back to back with the old one. Now it is strong. No worries.
