Tunning is purley subjective. It's all about what sounds good to you. If you like a real tinny sound, you turn up the high range. Vocals is usualy around the mids in the 1khz range. With that said, most decs only offer you high and low boost, maybe high low and mids. To tune things properly, a 12 band eq would be best. However, if your missing a frequency, perhaps your crosovers are set wrong and they are not overlapping the frequencies. That is the first place i would check. the12volt.com has some great tools to help you make your own crossovers and custom tune them to the frequency range youwant.
