I second Ignition Coil. When mine stranded me on the side of the highway this is EXACTLY what it did. If you change your coil yourself, make SURE you use diaelectric grease on the coil's posts. Otherwise your acceleration will be crap when the car warms up. A Duralast from Autozone worked well for me. A Borg-Warner failed within 24 hours.
