True, I agree with you. Many people even say thats how Toyota got started, copying other cars. The thing is that in modern society we have come to expect more. When Toyota and Hyundai were first coming to market, not many people were concerned about crash testing, reliability and what not. But in today's market, with tools like the internet, there isn't any reason to buy Chinese death traps. I would much rather buy a used Camry then any current Chinese car. If China keeps flooding the market with the cheap rip offs, no one will take them seriously.

WTF??? There is about a 15 year split between Toy coming to N/A and Hyundai. Toyota starting coming to the states as a player in the 70's and the Hyundai didn't show up until the mid 80's. There was an exponential jump in regulations and safety features during that period.
