WTB 6M-GE

Looking for 6M-GE in running condition, high miles or smoke okay. Will trade for 4A engine from FX-16 or whatever. Doing engine swap on 1985 4Runner, and I would like to put in a 6M since it has 200 hp to begin with. 6M available in Canada but not in US.
Thanks,

A friend of mine has a 6m in his mk2 supra, and his dyno numbers this past april were 165rwhp. That may indeed turn in to 200 at the crank. not sure what 200 you are refering to. He is also looking to sell his engine to swap in a 7m-gte from a later supra. I do not have his email addy handy.

have you checked www.risingsunengines.com and those other jdm engine importers? we can get 7m-gte motors for under 1000cdn now, where they used to be 2-3000 a few years ago.

i know ben, i've got a 6M, but i'm not that friend

they make 192/190 at the crank.. and in a light car with huge gears are great motors. they rev, and make huge amount of torque.

should also bolt to your 4runner transmission depending on 4cyl/6cyl

the 5/6M's are alot easier to put in the roomy trucks then the ra6 celicas. clearances aren't as big an issue.
