Running Google searches on the VIN numbers can help.

This topic should be merged with the sticky scam registry, also.

I seperated it out as there was no verification of any being a scam till you noticed that one. I want the scams to be verified to avoid crapping on a potential real deal someone has to move it tiday type of thing. It was possible that at least one might be legit as there was mention of an auction in the ad.

Lets wait for the others to be confirmed and I'll pop it back in there.

Bob

A twin turbo is likely to be. An NA is, just like in the MKIII world, nearly worthless as well by comparison. They can be had for as little as 10k with high mileage.

under $20k means a few possible things.

1. its wrecked
2. been wrecked and now rebuilt (salvage title, good luck with the loan)
3. high mileage and needs repairs
4. the real slim chance the person just doesnt know the market on a TT MKIV, and is selling for blue book.

for a TT 6spd in decent shape with average miles, dont expect to pay under $22-23k. these arent hondas, they are rare, gotta pay to play!

And you can still expect to pay a healthy amount for it.
