They're as good as you want them to be. I hope you know exactly what you're getting into if you want to buy one. Do your research, it's a long story.

If you are NOT into a HOBBY car, then don't buy an MKIII. You would be spending quite a lot of time keeping it going.

BUT...once it is all together, its very much fun to drive. I actually LOOK for excuses to go drive it more than to work and shopping.

one o the reasons i want to get it, its cuz its an awesome car, and i got a corolla and im tired of going slow as hell so i want to get that supra to push it, but i keep hearing its going to take alot of time so now im not even sure what kind of car to get, i have about 3,500 so im not sure what to get, i saw a mkIII and it looks awesome and it has 200hp so i think it would be great to have one

These IMHO are not reliable out of the box. They're (a minimum) of 13 years old and require work, care, MONEY, knowledge and dedication to keep them running and in good reliable, running condition.

Fast,
Cheap,
Reliable.
You can ONLY pick 2.

If this is your only mode of transport, I'd say look another way. These have enough quirks and oddities that they can leave you stranded with no warning signs if things aren't up to snuff.
