ABS on 87 Supra?

Well here in Washington its starting to snow, and real wheel drive plus no ABS makes the supra winter driving hell. Is there any way to put ABS on my non ABS 87 Supra? If there is what parts to I need.

Thanks

The easy answer is no. You could retrofit it, but it would be a pain. You would need an ABS ECU, the ABS brake cylinder, wheel speed sensors, you would have to replace all the wheel hubs with tone ring hubs, the brake calipers, and rewire the car to accept the ABS system.

I just go with the low tech solution. Put some bags of concrete in the trunk. I don't really worry about it. Unless you are east of the mountains the snow doesn't last for more than a day. That is assuming it sticks.

It'd be cheaper to get a winter beater than retofitting it.

Picking up some Blizzaks is a cheaper alternative.

or get some 5x114.3, 160/xx/16 'snow' tires. :-P

Less is more on Snow and Ice, remember that. Wider tires will hurt you there.
