3rd Generation new supra owner...couple of questions

Hi guys!! I will soon be the owner of a 91 n/a auto. One of the salespeople I work with took one in on trade! I do beleive the headgasket is blown, the motor has some bad rod knock. Someone told the owner it would cost around $8K to fix it so he traded it in on a Corolla!!!!! The body is perfect and the interior is close to perfect!

I am buying it for.....are you ready.................$150!!!!!!

Now my question is....the ac/heater fan does not do anything. Does this have anything to do with the blown HG? I checked the oil and coolant levels and they were empty. For some reason. I remember seeing something previously posted about it, but could not find in the search.

Jeeves, if you see this, any comments would be appreciated!!

Also, I plan on replacing th non turbo motor for now (dont have money to do turbo swap yet). Any comment on engine importers would be helpful too.

The AC/Fan, I'd check a fuse, it's not HG related. There's another part it can be, but that'll be after we see if it works at all.

If it's rodknocked, the motor is dead. Period. It can be rebuilt but there's not a reason to check coolant/oil levels.

Engine importers.. Search for "nippon" on here, they don't carry 'em anymore, but it should point you to a post where I've discussed some of 'em.

thanks Jeeves...

I know the motor is gone, I was just digging around, checking things out with the fluid levels.

I figured (hoping) it was just a fuse or something.

Thanks for the input though
