Has anyone put a V6 into a MK3? If so can someone point me to some info?
Perhaps with an R150 trans?
Is the R150 any longer or shorter than the stock 5speed?
Would the drive shaft plug right into the R150?
What are your thoughts on a V6 swap into a MK3?

1UZ or 3UZ TT would be nice. V8s and turbos make a good match. Twin screw blower might be a little easier though. I don't know what V6 you would play with. The new 4.0L maybe? I don't know if it would fit. Its a pretty tall motor. I would definitely like to see someone play with one of the new DI engines though. Most of the other V6s out there woud be pointless. You won't get more power out of them than you can make out of the I6.

how about the 3.5 from a Buick Grand National/GNX, or the 4. somethings off a GMC Syclone/Typhoon
3.8 and 4.3, you mean?
those may be tight fits - because they were originally based on V8's (the 3.8 on the Buick V8 and the 4.3 on the small block Chevy), they've got 90 degree V's.
Thanks for the opinions so far guys. Has anyone used a R150 transmission in a MKIII before? Does it bolt to the same rear support as the MK3 turbo transmission? If so, does the turbo drive shaft fit into the transmission?

Nope, mine has a 5VZ that was recently severely over heated. WORD OF WARNING: if your alt fries your electric rad fan dies. I didn't go turbo because mud and turbos don't mix.
I am now waiting on a copy of the SCORE rule book before I consider new engine options.
