Best: like arseholes, everyone has an opinion. I'd recommend you come with a throough list of what you want for performance, and then you can get some more pointed answers.

Pistons: again, take your pick. If you plan on tuning it professionally and not too aggressive, you can get away with stockers to any power you can generate. You want extremes, or think you might tune it more ragged, pick up some forged...any brand pretty much will do, but let your machinist decide on size.

400 horse is very easy to attain. I would suggest if you are on a budget...the SP61GT turbo from Sound Performance, you can find them on most supra forums. Get a Metal headgasket, with arp bolts. in order to use a metal headgasket you MUST get the block and the head decked or surfaced so that the metal can seat properly. also purchase 550CC injectors, and a lexus AFM. you will probably want to purchase an SAFC or something to tune your car with. Finally you are gonna want at LEAST new IC piping. the stock IC has been proven to hold 400+, but not with the stock piping (or so i understand). with those basic mods...you can push 400 daily without a problem.
anyone correct me if they disagree...

ok, that's one route. The other is to search the forums, as this topic is covered nearly once a week.

On forums you do not 'want' things, you kindly ask for things. It works much better. However, the list that you can make to make 400hp out of a mk3 supra can be quite long especially since you've made it very clear that you want everything done for you. So... No. Use the search button, I know myself that I have discussed this same topic no less than two times.

not to be a jerk, but just because someone asks a question that very well may have been asked 100 times before doesnt mean they shouldnt ask it. maybe he did search and read every single one of those posts but wanted to see if anyone who hadnt replied to the other posts would chime in with some new info. this is a forum ment to discuss things not an information archive after all. there wouldnt be very much discussion if people just search for info they wanted and didnt post.

there wouldnt be very much conversation in the real world if people didnt ask a question they already had the answer to. every time someone asks me 'how are you today' should i just be a snob and say 'refere to the previous days answers' rather than make conversation and answer them again each day. you know how many times im asked 'so who are you taking in the superbowl'. should i just be like 'you should really do your homework and talk to the 10 other people who asked me first and youll know who im picking, how dare you ask me that same question Again'.

besides noone says you have to open let alone reply to a post if you dont want to. someone can come here every day and ask the same thing it shouldnt effect you at All as you dont have to click it. so riding someone who asks a questions before searching is just to preachy which drives me nuts and caused this rant.

^ of the above comment thats a bit irksome.

To me, it's more regurgitating information than conversation...

once he said that it did go downhill, the original post though wasnt too bad asking people what they think the best of something is.

The reason you get such responses is that in putting the single word "power" into the search for the supra section yields 17 pages of hits...and at 2-4 hits a page in direct responses to your question here, we recommend reading is your friend. Perhaps you haven't been to all that many forums, but we at least point you to the source of the information...some would flame, and others would simply ignore you. If you have more specific questions after reading about components or the theory of what you are attempting, then by all means feel free to ask away without concern for responses.

ya ya ya perhaps ive been reading 'forums' since back in the BBS days where you dial directly into a board... but theres always a group of people on a forum that have this high and mighty sense to them. they think if a question is dumb that noone should ask it. or in this case if its been asked before you shouldnt ask it again. maybe he didnt want to go through 17 pages to find what he wanted, maybe he wanted a quick answer from someone who doesnt mind answering.
