Will these rims work?

i got a 88 supra. it's got stock rims right now with some cobra tires(not sure bout them numbers i'll have to take a look some other time). will i be able to use 16x7 Motegi FF7 rims on this car? the bolt pattern seems good 5x4.5(114.3). The rim's on now are 16"s so that should be good too. my concern is offset. I'm not sure what kind of offset i should have. i read that these rims are a +42mm offset. What does this mean for my car? Is there anything else i should be concerned about?
And another thing..can i use the tires that i'm using now on these rims?
