I have a 1987 supra non-turbo and wanted to build it up. I do not want to turbo it but i would like to give it some power, if anyone has a web site or company, or even a ph# for performance parts that would help me out a lot. Thanks.
A road less traveled...Headers, exhaust and intake. Some of our sponsor sites may be able to help, raptorracing being one that is run by a supra owner and deals supra parts.
Of course, for headers, there's also the OBX ones on ebay. IIRC, they are a copy of a pacesetter, and quite cheap. Mated to a new cat/test pipe and a decent cat back and you've pretty much done as much as you can.
Now, I should mention that this list is pretty short for a reason: that's all there really is available, and the investments are going to net you only about 15% more power than you have right now. How much power do you want is a really important question to ask yourself right now, because with all the mods you still won't keep up with a stock turbo supra...something to think about.
Something tells me you should re-read the part about does not want to turbo...and if he did want a turbo, why pay double the price of a hard running 7M for the torqueless step child?
He'd save money if he dropped anything else in there.
From the factory the N/A is anemic. The new Eclipse has 260hp/tq out of N/A V6 it comes with. Compare that to the 200/230 the I6 Supra has, and it's dated... Very very dated.
My suggestion would be to go turbo.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
for the price that it will cost you to keep up with turbo supras... u may as well just swap in an LS1 like my friend is doing... although then you may as well just buy a corvette cause at that point you pee'd on the supra name...

If you are going V8 you can do the UZ series engine. At least that way you keep it Toyota, but for bang for the buck the LS1 isn't that bad of an idea.

Please tell me you did not just suggest an LS1 in a Mk3. That's gotta be the worst defacement I've heard of the Toyota name.
There's a guy in my town with an LT1 Mk3. It's alright... but definately nothing I'd call good. The interior looks like crap due to what he had to do to the dash to make it all work.

I've seen one or two SBC's done right...most are hack jobs though, and really don't work as well as the owners anticipate. All in what the owner wants to do, or is prepared to do. If I had a spare built up 350 laying around and a decent shell to put it in, I'd have a hard time justifying paying for the "correct" toyota engine, and then the mods to make up the difference.
