7mgte horsepower >?<

what is the average horsepower gain of replacing the down pipe with aftermarket?

also, would it make any noticable difference removing the belt driven fan, and installing twin electrics?

HP gains i'll leave to someone else...mainly because mental block makes me not remember this early...

As to the fans, you can make up a few ponies switching so long as the electrics are not running. Electrics running, the hp gains disappear, but you still don't get as much air over the rad. Electrics do not push as much air as a stocker can, but require as much energy from the alternator...since energy isn't free, you need the HP to generate electricity...Physics is a bitch.

Many supra owners run electrics with no problem, though many need to switch back as our cooling system is considered fairly marginal. For road course or autox, a clutch fan is a requirement, and in the southwestern US the electrics more often than not can't keep up. A bigger rad may help keep the problems to a minimum.

It all depends on the downpipe. Does it replace the factory turbo Elbow? Is it 3"? Divorced Wastegate? etc. It all depends on the options the downpipe has.

Really, it's not so much an HP gain itself as it allows further mods to take you higher. It's about removing limitations, not making power instantly.

Replace the downpipe and cat with a divorced wastegate downpipe and a test pipe, and you will see a HP gain of AT LEAST 15HP.
