With a good deal of work and money, any motor will fit in any location.

I have herd of 7MGTE swaps into a MK II. The thing is I am not sure of is if these swaps involve the older (pre90) box style motor mount, or the newer (90+) round style motor mount. The 1JZGTE sits on the newer round style motor mount. I am not sure if it is compatible with the subframe found in the MK II. The other concern would be firewall clearance. The 1JZ is a tight squeeze in the MK III engine bay. The turbos and down pipe barely clear. Other than that if a 7M fits a 1JZ will fit.
