headlights?

what are some good headlights, mine really are starting to suck. the plastics are yellowing the light just isnt bright enough. i dont want annoying ultra bright blue lights or anything just something that gives off decent light. should i replace the lens to or just try the bulbs first and see if that works? or can you just do the bulbs, i havent even lookd close at them yet...

Well based on your sig I am guessing that you are talking about your 87. The MK III doesn't have any plastic on the head lights. They are standard rectangular sealed beam units. Just go down to the auto parts store and buy some new ones.

Um.....yeah. I'm not really sure what you are getting at here. They are head lights man. You go to the auto parts store, buy some, and then install them. If you are trying to say that you want some crazy rice boy bling head lights then you can go cruise ebay and buy some of those cheap plastic "HID" look-a-likes. If not then.....well I don't know what to tell you. Replacing your head lights is not a complicated task.

i didnt say anything about actually putting them in. i was just wondering what Type of lights are good. i said in my first post i wasnt out for any flashy lights just some good solid driving lights. but i know theres many different types and brands out there so i was wondering what people use/recomend. i didnt want to just go to autozone and say 'give me a light'. but i guess thats what you do.

Anything with "whiter light" in a stock sealed beam replacement means they put a coating on the bulb, and so lower the amount of light coming out. They simply take away the yellow spectrum, which makes them appear brighter, without really improving the total light output or the beam pattern. I tried the silverstars and they did just that. GE has the nighthawks which are supposed to have a little more light output than the silverstars, but until you step into the H4 e-code replacements or real HID, that's about all you get. That said, there are 65-100watt replacement sealed beams out there, but they will likely blind everyone around, get you pulled over by a cop for it and require you to completely rewire your lighting as the stock stuff will quickly go up in flames.

if you check on ebay, there are lots of headlights which are of good quality and the brands vary from different vendors. also try partstrain and other parts store. now it really depends on how much you want to spend..
