The 1J Swap Info Only Sticky

I've put this sticky together to help answer your questions on what it takes to do the popular 1j swap.

Don't bother with questions here: this thread is left open for members to post other reference sources, and you will quickly find all questions or discussions deleted. After reading these, feel free to ask more specific questions about the swap and process in a different thread.

The following sites will help to answer your basic "what do I need" questions, and put you on track to getting one running yourself. Good Luck!

Anything mk2 you'll find on Celicasupra.com. There are a lot of people there who have either done the 1J or the 2J swap or are very well informed about it.

Since the 1jzgte kinda sucks and I don't see this info posted here.
http://www.supras.nl/index.php?optio...d=34&Itemid=50

This site is very useful in doing the swap and I made reference to it several times during the 2jzgte swap I did on an 87.

I've been daily driving my 1JZ for 2 yrs. I love it.

It's a great motor that makes 320WHP on stock turbos @14psi with an intake and slightly opened exhaust.

You can make upwards of 600WHP on the stock block...some HAVE made more so get real...
