how many miles do YOU got?

i am willing to put funds into this car to breathe life back into it but im drawn back at the mileage. she's got 167,000 on it...but the trannys been replaced around the 120 mark...i dunno..it wasnt me. i was just wondering how many miles you guys've got in your cars. im in the process of fixing any imperfections in the car and wanna know if its worth it to go on.

so how many miles do YOU got?

It depends what you want. Don't bother if you're looking to get value from it. If you just want the pleasure, I'd say any rust free example in decent mechanical condition is worth the effort. Mine has about 90000 (152000km).

That's VERY common, welcome to the rear hatch seals (or the seals around the taillights). If he didn't replace 'em, you'll find water there again.

well i have no idea how water got there when i got it, but ever since me and pops cleaned it out, theres never been water in there again.

oh and just so i don't have to start another post, my targa is leaking at the front corners of the roof. do i need the special toyota weatherstrips, or is there an alternative? me dad tryed fixin' it his way by pumpin it full of silicone and shit, but you cant use it as a targa that way, oh and it still didnt help.

Silicone is the common alternative to buying new Toyota seals, however, if that failed, looks like it's time for some new seals for you.

I got you all beat...1986.5

Reading reported on 09/17/1996:
208,493 miles

That is the last milleage reading for the car since shortly after that everything was swapped to a GTE setup including the gauge cluster. That reading was 10 years ago so I would imagine it would be more in the range of 300 000miles now. But since I got it last spring, every part on the car has been taken off and replaced/upgraded.
