Radio code

The stereo in my 89 Supra turbo says anti theft on it so I am assuming that it is a "coded" radio. Is there a way to find out what this code is so the radio can be reused if I remove it ?
Thank you

I'd suggest just replacing it unless it has sentimental value.

Your Toyota dealer can get the code for you. Caution, some dealers charge a lot for this, others don't. Your code may never have been set. The owners manual has details on setting it, but I would not do it. There are too many people who forget their code.

If the code is not set, the radio can be removed and reused without a problem.

If the code was set, a lot of people find this out when the battery goes dead and the radio does not work when the unit is repowered.

I thought TN readers doing a search might find it, saving them a post and reply.
