New to toyota, what do i have here?

I am new to toyota's i usually play with the german cars, but i have a supra shell sitting at home, waiting for me once i get out of college. I just picked up 2 Supra engines 2JZ(dont know the suffix) for extremely cheap. They are just that tall block(block and head) both have a blown piston. I plan on keeping one and building it up back so it will run so i can throw it in my supra at home. The other i plan on selling. Now i had one person offer me 300 for the block alone. Is he just crazy or is that what i should expect to sell this stuff for, and also what about the head and crank. Any help would be awesome.

I'll give you 350 for all of it. Just playin dude, you've got some desirable stuff there. I'm sure some of the Supra guys can give you more direction.

The 2JZ comes in two different modles:

-2JZ-GTE, is the low compression turbo version
-2JZ-GE is the higher, non turbo motor.

Both of these are HIGHLY desireable engines, mainly due to the fact that Supras are getting scarce and that the 2J engines are THE holy grail of import horsepower. Many people have proven that the 2J in completely stock internal form can take over 1000HP at the flywheel.

Check out some listings on eBay. You'll see that most complete 2J's sell from anywhere between $700US-3000US depending on condition or milledge.
