I am in the market for buying a 94-95 Supra with the twin turbos good or bad condition. Can anybody direct me where I might be able to purchase one.

Try www.autotrader.com . There are usually 5-10 supras in any condition, in any given day. and...DO NOT DO EBAY.

whats wrong with ebay? i bought my motorcycle off ebay, of course you Should only ever look for local sellers. id say ebay is great as long as the person is local and you can go check out what your buying first.

what types are they, is it mostly in a certain generation of supra or all?

i would figure they'd mostly be mk4 supras because they are the ones that more people know of because F&TF and other publicity.... and they have a higher HP limit than...say...an mk3 so they might be more desireable for a cheap price.... i dunno.

Thanks for the info. I would defenitly not buy a Supra on E-bay. I heard there's allot of scamers on there. It would make me wonder why some one would be selling a Supra on E-bay. The supra is a very high quality car. It would be like selling $30,000 dimonds on a flee market. Just dosen't make sense.

Is smoking rocks evern possilbe? Hmmmm! Ok! Supras are bad ass cars and on E-bay is like the bottom of the barrel for selling such a quality car like the Supra. I would never buy a quality car on e-bay. It would be like playing russin rulet you better hope you dont get the bullet. Same concept on e-bay you better hope you dont get a scammer.

Hey I found this one about 12 miles from my house. What do you guys think. Is the price appropriate for the car. Please advice. I have an appointment of Wednsaday to go look at it. It's a dealer too.

A little pricey, but given the low mileage and the fact that it is a Toyota dealer selling it, it's probably not out of line, and somewhat negotiable.

No matter what the car, good examples can be seen anywhere. Ebay scams rely on you not being willing to travel to check a car out, or having people available that can look into a sale for you at the other end. However, if your in the market for a rarer car, you may have little choice. I've been looking at Porsche 914's for a while now (need something to drive in the summer, and an autox project for when the supra is done), and the largest collection of everything from mint to parts car is clearly there. When I get to purchasing one, that's probably the way I'll have to go (if I do it at all...decisions decisions...)

You have a great point there. Car parts I have no porblem with but Cars of this caliber I would be very leary of. I have heard of allot of scams on Ebay on cars. I will work on the price with the Toyota dealer. Good luck on the 914.

Not to insult the Supra, but there are thousands of much much nicer, non-scam cars on ebay. One has to realize that regardless of the sticker price, it's still an (at it's newest) 8 to 13 year old sports car, and they're all used. Compare that to something like, oh... The entire first page of BMW Listings, the Supra pales in comparison.

As for the Dealership, lookin' them up, they've got a white one for sale as well that they listed at damn near $60,000. That's ridiculous. I think their prices are quite inflated.

ditto....60k is pretty nuts... it's not a suercar...and i bet that in a few years the prices will fall and come nearer to the prices you currnetly see for an mk3.. i'm not sure but i wouldn't doubt that in maybe 5 years... the time i could actually think about buying one they will have fallen in value enough to buy one and still have ample dollars to mod it... but if you have 100k to throw down more power to ya!

(I haven't even entered college yet...)

as for me i'm going to save up, and build up my mk3....heheeeee!!!!!! I dont think i'll ever sell her....

and just for a quickie refrence...using ebay.....

This car would probably kick the supra's ass...no problem...now a heavily modded supra...you might have to mod the vette...but stock, base price...a brand new vette is cheaper than that used supra.... I'd either buy the vette or search for a private party mk4. dealers stink...they can and will cover up thrashed cars....private owners usually wont IMO.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-...QQcmdZViewItem

but yeah... i couldn't imagine ever paying that much for a supra unless it had some serious stuff under the hood.
