3rd Generation MKIII stock spoiler mounting

Anyone have an idea on the best way to mount a stock spoiler on a non turbo? It would be a cinch if the spoiler didn't have the studs sticking out the bottom. Any templates out there?

Take the spoiler and some cardboard and make your own template.

That's obvious but you still have to know exactly where to position it on the car. Like I said I could use the spoiler itself as the template while I position it wherever it looks and fits best but I can't because of the studs.

I have an 89 and and 86.5.

I am putting the spoiler from the '89 onto the 86.5 so I will measure the hole locations, but I won't be doing this anytime to soon. Eventually though in the next couple weeks.
