The ECU is not reprogramable. You will need to use a piggy back system or a stand alone system. The Unichip system is an interceptor ECU. For all the work needed to set it up you may as well go stand alone.

Just like he said, ECU's aren't programmable at all. Piggyback or full replacement are the only things you can do.

I just remembered one more option. The HKS PFC-FCON. It is a pre-programed interceptor type ECU similar to the unichip. It can be fine tuned with their GCC piggy back unit. It can also have its ROM board replaced by a HKS dealer. It comes with a harness designed for the car. You will have to do some digging to find a used one.

I had a Unichip UniQ installed on my maroon supra....your better off getting another piggy back or standalone...or tha hks pfc-fcon like tcma boy said....tha unichip is good and all, and u can have diff fuel maps and such but tha fact of tha matter is you don't have th programming devices to program it, so everytime u want 2 u must go somewhere that has it, plus tha fact that not 2 many people have it...unichip is an 8 man show ...i used 2 sell them so we went to their headquarters in washington and saw how everything worked as well as got certified in working with them...honestly get something thats more well known with tha supra community, that way if u have problems, u have alot more replies w/ tha help...

I'm 90% sure that these were discontinued just like the VPC was. It's also VERY outdated technology. It's a simple Piggyback, much like the S-AFC, the eManage Blue, etc.

I mean, if you wanna go 'hardcore' there's also the TechTom setup. However, they're all pretty outdated in comparison to newer tech.
