uneven pavement, steering problem

so i was driving around some construction and the right side of the road was a good 2-3 inchs higher than the left(uneven construction pavement _- ). the car wanted to turn torwards the right(higher side). what could be the cause of the problem, i went back down a similar road with the left side higher and had the same problems. kind of scary when i first hit the uneven part the car tried to jump towards the high side almost pulled me out of my lane. doesnt seem to be a problem on slopped or angled surface just when its uneven.

i also notice it over speed bumps, taking them one wheel at a time the steering wheel will try and turn towards the higher wheel.
