Injector leak

Could I have caused an injector leak by using Chevron Techron injector cleaner? Thinking perhaps I had a problem with the cold start injector, I added a 20oz bottle of Techron cleaner to a full tank of gas. I drove the car (1989 Turbo) around 200 miles and upon stopping noticed a gas leak. I have not disassembled the fuel rail yet but it appears that I have a leak on at least the front two injectors (I have not looked at the rest yet) This is the first mileage that has been put on the car since the head/turbo replacement and I am 95% sure that all the injector O-rings were replaced at that time. Is it more likely that I missed a couple of O-rings or should I drain the remaining fuel (1/2 tank) to avoid damaging the replacements I will be installing? Thanks for your assistance.

It's easy to misalign the orings and not seat the injectors correctly. Fuel injector cleaner is not the problem, unless you ran it near straight!

Take it all off again, pull the injectors out, replace the orings and the injector grommets with new ones so you can be assured and try reassembly again.

BTW, there is a pair of contacts in the diagnostic terminal you can jumper to run the pump full time without the engine so you can check for leaks before you go to the trouble of reassembling the intake...

Thank you for your help bgrieger! As you had suspected, I found the oring on the #1 injector had a large flap on it where I damaged it during install. I had assumed that the injector cleaner had caused the problem as I had not noticed the leak before. You had said that there were pins that I could jumper on the diagnostic terminal to allow me to pressurize the rail without starting the engine? Could you tell me which ones to jumper and if there is a section of the factory manual that would state all functions/jumpers necessary on the diagnostic connector? Thank you

Jumpering terminals B+ and Fp in the diagnostic block will turn on the fuel pump when the key is in the on position, but not started.
