Older Supra Question

Im looking into an older Supra(not the fast and the furious body style). I dont exactly know what body style it is thats why im looking into it, but was curious if I purchased one, are the mods just as easy to get for the older ones as the newer ones? Also does anyone on here have one that is heavily modded or on its way to be heavily modded?

Which year?

What does it look like; the blue one in #1 or the red one in #2?

The closest you could probably get to a sleeper, is to pick up a MkII Supra:

And swapping in a 7M-GTE instead of the 5M-GTE that's in it. However, you'll want to do headgasket and several other mods. It wouldn't be cheap or easy, but it's cheaper than a MkIV.

However, is it worth it? Probably not. You could get 450-500hp, with a lot of work. Is it worth it to buy a MkIV Supra? In my eyes, No. Prices are so horribly inflated it's not even funny.

*Anal retentive correction* The MKII came with a 5M-GE not a 5M-GTE

I meant that, I know the 5M was never factory turbo'd.
