TRD bushings

i know all my bushings are shot, most of them are literally melted... i saw some place selling TRD bushing, but they are going for 700 bucks for a complete set(22pcs). seems like a hell of alot for bushings. are they worth it or better to go cheaper and spend that cash in better ways. i dont even know how much bushings cost to begin with to compare with the 700$ set ha.

The MK III folks are kind of screwed when it comes to bushings. Energy Suspension simply has nothing for us, so it is either OE parts or custom order.

They are also a pain to replace. You need a press and a torch to get the old stuff out. You should only replace the bushings if they really need it.

let the people at Energy Suspension know, and if they get
enough requests, maybe they will produce them ...

hyperflex@energysuspension.com

I am sending an email to them asking that these bushings
be produced ...

SUBJECT: Supra MK3 1987-1992

maybe we'll get lucky, eh?

We were trying this almost 10 years back and nothing has come about. As I recall, some of the early supra shops and owners approached them and were told that to get it off the ground would require many hundreds of sets on the initial order...needless to say, that didnt' happen.

I called Energy Suspensions a while back and they told me they have no intension of adding the MK III to the line up. I ended up ordering the poly set from Supra Sport. It was the only set I could find.

Deos a moderate groaning, metal on metal sound when you turn your mk iii very hard at low speed denote bad bushings? Usually after you right the car and step on the gas you hear the squelch. When you park if you turn the wheels side to side you can hear a very slight metallic sound. My car only has about 78k miles on it, but it's a 1992. I am wondering what those sounds are and how fast it will get worse. It sounds similar to a bad lower or upper balljoint I've heard on some other cars.

i notice a sound when doing sharp slow speed turns. not sure if id call it metal on metal. then again i guess it could be described as that, sounds like something rubbing together though. havent any other of the sounds, havent really paid attention though.

So start one. I bet Jeff at Champion Toyota would do it. He's already got great prices on factory Toyota parts, I'm sure he'd work out a great deal if you could get 10 or more people together and do a GB.
