3rd Generation 7m-ge won't start!!!!

I have a 1990 N/A that ran great. My buddy decided to borrow it and blew the engine. So luckily i had my wrecked 88 N/A and i decided it would be an easy swap. Well it was kinda, sorta, not really easy swap. the mechanical stuff was easy but the electrical stuff is whats killing me. I had to use my 90 wiring harness and my buddy thought it would be a good idea to just cut the injector wires and then jsut crimp them back together. WRONG! they corroded into a nice little green connecrors. So i fixed that by soldering and shrink wrapping them. Then while i was finishing the wiring install i realized i am missing a connector. The 88 has a VSV FPU (Vacuum Switch Valve Fuel Pressure Up). I guess when u go full throttle it boosts the fuel pressure by like 6-8 psi or something. Well my 90 didn't have that. So i am a little confused on what to do because i dont have my 90 engine anymore so i can't transfer the stuff and no junkyards in central Indiana have supras that haven't been severely molested. On top of all this my fuel pump isn't kicking on. I have power to the main EFI relay but i dont have power at the ccircuit opening relay. I know the fuel pump works because when I put the jumper wire between the B+ and the Fp connectors on the diagnostic port it kicks on and has plenty of psi. I haven't time yet to completely test the wires yet but i just want some advice on what it might be and what i should do about the VSV FPU.

Just a little more info for you. I have tested the EFI relay, Circuit Opening relay, and the fuel pump relay and they area all fine. The resistance of the fuel pump resistor is .8 ohms and it is specified at .7 but hell .1 wont hurt anything.

we have the same problem. my brothers 87 turbo supra cranks but not start. we tested the relays and they all get power, the fuel pump kicks on when jumped, and wires all look good. we were wondering if we are missing a reset switch or something like that. any body have experience solving this problem? thanks

lvh, search for info on the cam position sensor, it's a well known issue on the Turbo vehicles. If it cranks, seems to get spark and fuel then it probably has something to do within ignition timing. As far as I can tell, your issue has nothing similar with chinesemechanic's.

N/A's however are very different in that regard. The fuel pressure VSV can be bypassed. It is used for boost (which chinesemechanic didn't have to worry abou) and for cold starst (it'll bump up the pressure some).

So, now the important question..
Did you REALLY just bump a nearly two year old thread instead of searching for a more related problem?

We are not on a forum to fix your problems, we're here to give you nudges in the right direction. The legwork is still yours to do.
