If it's the same light I'm thinking about, then it's probably the coolant sensor light. The senor itself can be found on the underside of the coolant bottle. I think mine is completely fried, so I leave it disconnected, but you may want to get that checked out if you notice some overheating.(This is assuming you've checked your coolant levels)

BTW, if you want the manual, I've got a PDF copy somewhere here. I keep a printed version of that in my car. Come to a meet and check it.

The yellow light to the left of the temp gauge is for the low coolant sensor. Some people refer to it as a bird cage, others a grille from a high end benz or bentley. It is supposed to look like a radiator.

What you need to do is add coolant to the overflow bottle. Do not go above the reccomended line. when the coolant in the engine gets hot, it forces itself into that bottle, and gets sucked back in when the engine cools. Over filling will just cause the coolant to be spewed out onto the road anyway.

if you find you are constantly filling this up, that is indicitive of a leak in the system. it can be anything from a pin hole leak on a hose somewhere, all the way to a BHG[BTW, I;m not trying to scare anybody here]

In addition, the TSRM is also on-line, and quite easy to navigate.

light

your light means you are out of anti-freeze/water fluid. fix this fast or you will murder your engine! most likely its only going on around corners, when the liquid sways around... i think the light only serves this purpse, but it may also be for other low fluids

the light only refers to the level of coolant in the overflow bottle, not in the rad, and not anywhere else in the engine. if it comes on during hard corners, or early in the morning, it is teetering on being low and not being low. it is a good time too add to it whenever it comes on, even for a second.

Please stick to facts when replying, not guessing, and scaring people. it is not helpfull.
