Question R kyb shocks good enough?

I was gonna change my suspension Im not looking for a good set up I just want to have a smooth ride. Right now I can get a KYB shocks for my 88 non-turbo supra for a cheap price and I just want to get everyones opinion if this is the right one I know that theres a lot of good suspension out there but this is the only one I can afford.. Please give me your opinions?

thanks in advance

If that is what you can afford, then go for it.

I have never heard anything bad about KYB's. I heard that the stock TEMs struts are TOKICOS, and the stock non-TEMs struts are KYB's.

The only really bad thing i have heard about stuts and springs is the H&R's, which have the bigggest drop, but also the harshest ride. many people want these springgs because of the drop, but many of them swap them out a year later for a better riding spring.

there was a apexi spring which rode badly when it was first introduced, but they have since refined their product, and it is better now.

KYB's are better than OEM usually but they're still a close ride to factory. If you're looking for stiffness and performance I'd advise you to go with

Tokico's or

Bilstein's
