displacement up

Go to suprastore.com and check out the engine section. then get the HKS titanium race exhaust and stroker kit. with 3.4L displacement and a race exhaust, you'll hella scare the shit out of any moped powered honda. Good luck anyways on ur supra purchase  wish I had that kina money[/i]

replace the internals? You crazy?

Contrary to what was said above, you do NOT need to replace or upgrade the internals on a 2JZ-GTE. The 2J is the strongest motor ever built by toyota (aside from the UZ series V8's). In completely stock trim the 2J can make over 800RWHP! Its the most overbuilt engine since the Chrysler 426 Hemi.

Consider Craig Paisleys Supra drag car. It has nothing but simple bolt ons, and makes well over 900hp!

Also consider Reg Riemers One Lap Supra... with nothing but SIMPLE bolt ons, it makes well over 700hp. Reg has proven though, that with proper ECM tuning, considerably more horsepower can be made, even with the stock turbos.

So then, whats the key to massive cheap HP on a 2J? Bolt on parts and ENGINE MANAGMENT! Always will be.

one more thing...

Not only is replacing internals unnessecary, its damned expensive. Imagine what kinda of turbo you could buy for the price of the 3.4L stroker kit and it installation. When ever you start replacing rods, pistons, cranks, etc... you're only going to be spending more money than you have to.

Now, Ill admit, if you're striving to build the Paisley busting 1500HP Supra, THEN you will have to start building the bottom end. But considering that 99.99% of all MKIV Supras on the Road that have bolt on mods can kill you at the touch of the gas pedal, there's no need.

Your dam right the 2jzgte is one of the strongest engines ,with BPU+++ you can push some masive numbers and I plan on atleast 800whp at the end of my project.

hehe it's true, the 2jz needs little in terms of internal upgrades, i was just exagerating on how far u really can tune the 2JZ when u consider 1000+hp a necessity. The 2JZ-GTE is a MONSTER. Toyota needs to make a 4 door sedan with that engine in the U.S. Otherwise I'll be forever stuck with my 7M-GE powered Cressida (hopefully getting a 1JZ-GTE by the time I graduate UCI in what, 2007?) anyways, good thing you pointed it out though, the Supra 2JZ, 1JZ, and 7M's are all sweet engines.

lol... Toyota just has to throw a turbo on the IS300, and they'd have the next Supra, in my opinion. That car is so balanced and awesome and good looking and, well.. you get the idea. A turbo would be insane on that car

Oh, and dont forget the 5M =) Its a very very stout motor as well... look at Russ Mastuvich's drag MKII!! WOWZERS!!! 30+psi boost on a 5M... who woulda thought!!

Would be sweet to see a 1J or 2J powered Cressida... mmmmm!
