Purchased MAF off Ebay. Think I got scammed

Hey all,
I don't have a Supra, I have a 4Runner. I purchased THIS on Ebay since it was advertised as a 2JZ-GTE MAF. The 2JZ MAF is interchangeable on the 4Runner and allows for more air on a forced induction 5VZ. When I received the part, it doesn't look anything like the 2JZ MAFs I'm used to seeing. The part number on it is 22204-42011. I did some research on the p/n here and discovered it's actually from a 7MGTE engine. When I e-mailed him about it, he swears it came from his '93 Supra Targa. My question is: Is there any way this MAF could have come from a stock MKIV? Or am I correct in assuming this part was misrepresented.

Thanks!

It looks A LOT like the one from the 7M but the piping on the end is all wrong. On a 7M, that bendy pipe would lead straight into the turbo.

However, here's where Mk3 History is important.

Reg Reimer discovered that the MAF electronics and pipe from an SC400 was compatible with the 7M Electronics but flowed more air. When paired with 550cc injectors, they almost perfectly match. This piece isn't the same as the 2JZ MAF Setup.

So, having dug up a photo, my guess is that piece, is the stock piping from an SC400 (LEXUS) MAF Upgrade for a MkIII Supra.

Here's what it normally looks like:

Nevermind the modified intake box.

Well, I don't think he meant to mislead you in anyway. 3rd gen Supras were actually sold into 1993, the 4th gen Supras were actually 93.5+.

Are you talking Mk4's or Mk3's? Identical means very little. If the electronics are on a different scaling, it'll be totally off. I've also never heard of using N/A Mk4 Electronics instead of the Mk3's GTE MAF. Various Lexus ones, yes.
